Travel back in time over the greatest ancient road which passed through the territory of today’s Kyrgyzstan.
Travelling starts with wondering. It is as old as history of the mankind because curiosity is in the nature of humans. People interested in natural and social environment have been exchanging products, knowledge and skills with their neighboring tribes since ancient times. So, paths between various communities have wrapped the endless Eurasia like a network over the centuries. This network of communication and trade, called the Silk Road, influenced the formation of the history and civilizations of the Eurasian peoples. Because, through these means, the peoples have enriched themselves not only in trade, but also in terms of art, craft, science, language, literature and religion.
The main arteries of the oldest and longest road in history, which had been linking different civilizations and cultures and providing interaction between East and West, as well as North and South, for about 1500 years, pass through the territory of today’s Kyrgyzstan.
